Research topics

 

In the field of radiobiology in oncology, particularly in breast cancer and glioblastoma, study of cell and molecular mechanisms in response to differential treatments with ionizing radiation, also in combination with radio-sensitizing molecules.

Identification of radio-response biomarkers in the perspective of personalized medicine.

Application of a proteogenomic approach with methodologies of genomics and molecular biology (such as, DNA sequencing, gene expression profiling by microarray, qRT-PCR, immunoblotting), and cell biology by using in vitro models (immortalized and primary cell cultures) and in vivo mouse models.
